About Little Hen

Little Hen is a stylish, high-volume brunch restaurant known for beautiful food, warm hospitality, and a fast-paced team environment. We are opening our Fort Lauderdale location and are looking for reliable, motivated kitchen team members to join us from the beginning.

We are currently hiring Line Cooks and Prep Cooks who take pride in consistency, cleanliness, teamwork, and quality.


Positions Available

Line Cook

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing dishes during service according to Little Hen recipes, plating standards, and timing expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Set up and stock the station before service
  • Maintain speed, accuracy, and consistency during busy brunch service
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures
  • Communicate with the chef and team during service
  • Keep station clean, organized, and ready at all times
  • Assist with cleaning and closing duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Previous line cook experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
  • Strong attention to detail and presentation
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Must be available weekends and holidays
  • Food handler certification preferred

Prep Cook

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and recipes before service to support smooth kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Wash, cut, portion, and prepare ingredients
  • Follow prep lists, recipes, and portion standards
  • Label, date, and store food properly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas
  • Support line cooks and chef as needed
  • Follow FIFO, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Assist with receiving and organizing product

Requirements:

  • Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions carefully
  • Organized, clean, and consistent
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable and available for morning/daytime shifts
  • Food handler certification preferred
